President of Miller.Omni.Media, Inc. Elected for Second Year as Executive Board Member of DC Women in Film and Video

Washington, DC – June 22, 2010 

Cynthia Miller, President of Miller.Omni.Media, Inc., was elected to serve on the executive committee of the Board of Directors of the Washington, DC Chapter of Women in Film and Video (WIFV).  This will be the second consecutive term for Miller as Vice President of Strategic Marketing for the organization.

“I am excited to continue in the senior marketing role for WIFV-DC so I may implement the strategic marketing plan I created for the organization during the 2008-2009 year,” said Miller.

Miller.Omni.Media, Inc. is a strategic communications, marketing and media production company based on the business model Miller used when she was head of studio operations at Disney’s MGM Studios Park in Orlando, Florida. 

In order to reinvigorate the brand and exposure for WIFV-DC during what is now its 30th year of supporting women film makers and film industry contributors in the DC area, Miller’s marketing plan for the organization includes web site redesign, production procedures for the 75 events and roundtables sponsored by the group annually, a new, televised panel discussion held at a local university campus, and an active social media campaign.

As part of the new marketing campaign, WIFV-DC members will be blogging live from this week’s “SilverDocs” film festival sponsored by Discovery Communications and the American Film Institute in Silver Spring, Maryland.  “We hope our first annual “SilverDocs Blog-athon” will become a permanent part of the film festival’s own marketing repertoire, and that it gains positive and fun exposure for both organizations concurrently,” said Miller.
