Who Is Cindy Miller?
Home: Maryland My Maryland! What used to be farmland is now a Planned Urban Development. Nice amenities, convenient to DC, still surrounded by farms. Cows and Congressmen are both within reach!
Occupation: Writer, director, producer, media artist and visual storyteller.
Hobbies: Painting murals, writing short stories, designing jewelry, playing golf and tennis, cooking new recipes but still enjoying Mom’s cooking.
Last Books Read: “Smart Women Finish Rich” David Bach, “The Art of Doing Nothing: Simple Ways to Make TIme for Yourself” Veronique Vienne, “Hello, Cupcake: Irresistably Playful Creations Anyone Can Make" Karen Tach, Anything on Oprah's Book List
Last Pet: A fish named “Flush”. I used to carry him in a fishbowl to my neighbors when I traveled. (Don’t worry – I gave him away when I moved.) I want a dog or cat very badly, but I’m not home enough to get one.
Latest Business Accomplishment: Establishing myself in the national STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education arena. We need more scientists, engineers and animators/visual effects professionals! My goal is to produce events that give students “hands on” experiences and interaction with the best professionals from the STEM disciplines.
Latest Personal Accomplishment: Reconnecting with friends and business colleagues I hadn’t heard from in over a decade and having it feel as if we had never lost touch.
Why I Do What I Do: I’m left brain/right brain and a social being who also enjoys being alone. Creativity enlightens my soul, business sharpens my mind. Solitude gives me peace, teams give me energy.
