Professional Bio:

Cindy-WhatCynthia (Cindy) Miller is a past Disney executive who is now President of Miller.Omni.Media, Inc. (M.O.M), a woman-owned, small business offering strategic communications, marketing and media production services with a focus on producing “owned media” for companies and the government who unlike Disney, don’t normally do so.  Prior to establishing M.O.M., Cindy managed the operations of Disney’s MultiMedia Group and Disney i.d.e.a.s., the multimedia production division of Disney’s MGM Studios in Orlando, FL. The business model for M.O.M. is actually based on the model of Disney in which communications consultants are assigned to create strategic plans for clients and then return to the main studio to produce all of the supporting media. In addition to traditional media production, projects included the production of business theatre, satellite simulcast productions, interactive television content, and several television series including Mortal Kombat, From the Earth to the Moon, Petsburgh U.S.A., and Sheena, Queen of the Jungle, as well as the feature film, Instinct, starring Sir Anthony Hopkins.

“My work is never boring because every client is different. I am constantly learning about new industries,” Cindy has said. M.O.M.’s clients currently encompass government, education, health care, logistics, entertainment and professional sports.

A native of Maryland, Cindy worked at Marriott International Headquarters for ten years and eventually trained Russian women entrepreneurs in Washington, D.C. about business practices in the United States. This experience, as well as her activity with women’s business initiatives at both Marriott and Disney, became the impetus for Cindy being an advocate for all women in business today. She currently serves as the Communications Chair of the Aeronautics Industry Association/National Defense Industrial Association’s STEM Education Workforce.  In that capacity, she authors a monthly column, “STEM News”, featured in National Defense Magazine.  She also serves on the communications and PR subcommittee of the Business & Industry STEM Education Coalition.

Cindy holds a B.A. in English and Art from Towson State University near Baltimore, Maryland and an M.B.A. from Mount Saint Mary’s College in Emmitsburg, Maryland. She serves on the Board of Directors of the D.C. Chapter of Women in Film and Video, and is a member of the Southern Frederick County Rotary Club.
